Photographs by Mike Chunko (August 1969)

At about the same time 500,000 hippies were attending the Woodstock Festival in New York, Mike Chunko was visiting Marina City with his mom.

Here he is on the roof of the west residential tower, on the left with his mother (right) and family friends to her right. In the background is the roof of the east tower.

This photo was taken by Mike from a model apartment in the west tower. The Unitrin Building is at left. Lake Michigan in distance.

(Left) Photo taken by Mike on December 5, 2007, looking straight down the side of the west residential tower from the 51st floor.
