Food Network star helps launch HOB menu

12-Sep-11 – A new menu created by celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez, being unveiled at the 13 House of Blues venues across the country, will arrive in Chicago this month.

While the interior of the restaurant will not change, it will get a new name, “Crossroads at House of Blues.” A launch party is scheduled at HOB on September 20.

Sanchez needs no introduction to millions of viewers of the Food Network. He has appeared on Iron Chef America, The Next Iron Chef, Heat Seekers, and Chopped, where he is a recurring guest judge.

Aaron Sanchez “House of Blues is all about music, love, art and spirituality,” explains Sanchez (left) in a news release. “In many ways, those are the same ingredients for great food and that’s exactly what I’ve tried to capture in the new menu.”

Sanchez told The Orange County Register earlier this month to expect “everything from signature burgers to flatbreads to meatball sliders.”

“These things encompass what America has become,” he said, “this melting pot of food.”

The new “Crossroads” premiered in San Diego and Las Vegas on August 31, and California’s Disneyland on September 2.
